Managing Connected Destinations

New UI to manage your destination connections

A
Written by Andrew McNiece

Overview

Connected Destinations panel in Preferences shows you which push destinations are linked to your account, their connection health, and lets you disconnect a destination when needed.

This applies to destinations that require you to sign in with your credentials (OAuth-based destinations): Constant Contact, Eloqua, Facebook, Google Ads, HubSpot, Snapchat, Spotify, and TikTok.

Destinations that use API keys or system-level credentials (such as Braze, Mailchimp, Marketo, Iterable, and others) are managed at the tenant level and do not appear on this page.

How to Access

  1. Click your profile icon in the top-right corner of the CDP.

  2. Select Preferences.

  3. Scroll to the Connected Destinations section.

Understanding Connection Status

Each connected destination displays a status indicator showing whether the connection is healthy and whether any action is needed.

Status

Color

What It Means

Healthy

Green

>30 days remaining or never expires. No action needed.

Expiring Soon

Amber

≤30 days remaining. Reconnect recommended.

Expires in N days

Red

≤7 days remaining. Reconnect now.

Expired

Red

Connection has expired. Reconnect now to resume pushes.

Not Active

-

No token exists. Connect the destination to begin pushing.

When a destination enters Expiring Soon status, reconnect at your earliest convenience to avoid disruption. If a connection expires, all segment pushes to that destination will fail until you reconnect.

Reconnecting a Destination

If a destination shows Expiring Soon or Expired:

  1. Click Connect next to the destination.

  2. The system will first disconnect the existing connection (to avoid token conflicts).

  3. You will be redirected to the destination's login page.

  4. Sign in with your credentials and authorize StellarAlgo.

  5. You will be returned to the CDP. The status will update to Healthy.

Disconnecting a Destination

To remove a destination connection:

  1. Click the Disconnect button next to the destination.

  2. A confirmation dialog will appear showing segments and automations currently using this destination.

  3. Review the list carefully - disconnecting will immediately stop all pushes to this destination for the listed segments.

  4. Click Confirm to disconnect or Cancel to keep the connection.

Important: Disconnecting a destination does not delete your segments or automations. They remain configured but will not push until the destination is reconnected.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Why don't I see all my destinations on this page?

Only destinations that require a user-level sign-in appear here. Destinations that use API keys (like Braze, Mailchimp, Iterable) or system credentials (like Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Marketo) are configured at the tenant level by your StellarAlgo team.

  2. What happens to my segments if a connection expires?

Pushes to that destination will fail until the connection is restored. Your segments and automations remain intact - only the push delivery is affected. Reconnect the destination to resume normal operation.

  3. Can I see which segments are affected before disconnecting?

Yes. The confirmation dialog lists all active segments and automations that use the destination, so you can assess the impact before confirming.

  4. I reconnected but my status still shows Expired. What do I do?

Try refreshing the page. If the status does not update, contact your StellarAlgo Customer Success Manager for assistance.
