Troubleshooting Permanent Push Failures

What to do when a push cannot be completed.

Written by Bryce Roessner

This article covers these error messages:

• This push cannot be completed due to a permanent issue with [Destination]. (unrecoverable)

TL; DR

A permanent error means this specific push cannot be completed, even with retries. Contact StellarAlgo support, we’ll investigate and help resolve the issue.

What This Means

Permanent errors are rare. They indicate that something about this specific push is fundamentally incompatible with the destination, and retrying won’t help. This is different from a temporary outage (which resolves on its own) or a configuration error (which you can fix in settings).

Common Causes

• The destination has permanently rejected this data (e.g., an unrecoverable account-level restriction).

• A breaking change on the destination’s side that requires StellarAlgo to update the integration.

• A rare edge case in the data or destination configuration that needs manual investigation.

What to Do

Contact StellarAlgo support. This type of error needs investigation on our side. When reaching out, include:

• The destination name (e.g., Braze, Salesforce, Google Ads)

• The automation name

• The approximate date and time the error occurred

• Any changes you recently made to the destination or automation
